The National Sports Authority has announced the closure of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium ahead of Ghana’s clash with Angola
The National Sports Authority in consultation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the the Ghana Football Association have decided to close the Baba Yara Sports Stadium ahead of Ghana’s clash with Angola.
This initiative is to enable the managers of the pitch time to improve its quality ahead of Ghana’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.

Two crucial matches have been lined up in Kumasi, with the Black Stars scheduled to face Angola on Thursday, March 23.
The other match at the stadium will the Black Meteors’ clash against Algeria in the second leg of the last round qualifier for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
The Ghana Premier League Matchday 21 fixture between Asante Kotoko and King Faisal will be affected by this decision by the NSA .
