Albion were United’s first-ever Women’s FA Cup opponents back in the fourth round of the 2018/19 competition – a game we won 2-0 away from home – and are a side that Marc Skinner’s team have already had success against this season, triumphing 4-0 against at Leigh Sports Village in October’s WSL meeting.

Brighton are the first top-flight opponents the Reds will face in this season’s tournament, after we previously defeated Championship sides Sunderland, Durham and Lewes on the road to the last four.

The tie is also a repeat of what happened in the men’s FA Cup draw, which took place over the weekend, with Erik ten Hag’s United paired with the south-coast club in the semi-finals of that competition too.
