Edouard Mendy is considering leaving Chelsea

There has been some stunning reports which have claimed that Edouard Mendy is considering leaving Chelsea.

The Senegal international has impressed in the Blues net since his arrival from Rennes in 2020 and has established himself as one of the best stoppers in world football.

However – his place in the first-team as come under threat this season – as he was sidelined with a knee injury when Graham Potter arrived at Stamford Bridge in September with Kepa Arrizabalaga coming back into the fold as a result, impressing with a string of much improved performances.

He is still considered to be the number one at Chelsea – but with Kepa working his way back into the squad and all the speculation that Potter wants to bring in Robert Sanchez from Brighton – he is now looking into leaving the club

It is unlikely that he will leave Chelsea in the January window but the Daily Mail claims Potter is looking to bring in a new option in goal that could pave the way for his departure in the summer.
