Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal centre-back William Saliba.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a terrific breakthrough season with the Gunners.
The Premier League leaders are determined to tie the Frenchman down to a new contract, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.
Mikel Arteta’s side does possess the option to extend Saliba’s stay until 2024, but a number of European clubs are thought to be monitoring developments closely.
According to Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are considering making a move if Saliba decides to advance his career elsewhere.
The report adds that Los Rojiblancos wanted to snap up the defender when he was still with Saint-Etienne and were made a bid to sign him in the most recent summer window.
Saliba has started all 12 Premier League games for the North Londoners so far this season, contributing two goals and one assist, as well as making two Europa League appearances.
