Football documentaries have become the latest trend in the evergrowing streaming industry, with AmazonPrime notably releasing documentaries on various clubs including Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Manchester City and most recently, FC Barcelona.

‘FC Barcelona: A New Era’ was the name of the documentary released by Amazon Prime last year, covering a time period that involved the appointment of Xavi Hernandez, along with the controversial exit of Lionel Messi.

According to Diario SPORT, Amazon Prime is set to come up with a new documentary on March 31, which will cover the sporting career of FC Barcelona superstar Robert Lewandowski.

Titled “Lewandowski unknown”, the documentary will cover the sporting life of the Polish international and everything that ultimately saw him quit Bayern Munich in favour of a move to Barcelona in the summer of 2022.

The show is produced by Papaya Films, under the direction of Matiej Kowalczuk. It will feature the intimate moments of Lewandowski’s glorious career that has seen him score 559 goals across his spell in European football.

In this film, Lewandowski is expected to detail the reasons behind his decision to join Barcelona in the summer. It will also include interviews with players and coaches he had met during the course of his career, including Jurgen Klopp and Xavi Hernandez.

Xavi is said to have played a crucial role in convincing the Pole to move to Catalonia last summer. The documentary, to that end, will give the fans the opportunity to witness key moments that played a role in helping Barcelona to sign the player.

It will also include interviews with Lewandowski’s friends, family and close relatives, thus giving fans a closer look into the Pole’s personal life and intimate moments during the course of his career.
