Milan will have 7 representatives in the upcoming World Cup, while others missed out on being called-up.
The 2022 World Cup kicks off in Qatar in 9 days from now and the national teams who take part in the competitions have been announcing their final squads.
7 Milan players will play in the competition, which begins on November 20 and ends on December 18. In the meantime, the rest of the players will have a break and will be in Dubai from 11 to 20 December for a training camp, which will also include a number of friendly games in preparation for the second half of the season.
Theo Hernández and Olivier Giroud have been called-up by France, with the injured Mike Maignan left out by coach Didier Deschamps. Simon Kjær will lead Denmark, while Sergiño Dest will play for the United States. Fodé Ballo-Touré has been named by Senegal, and Rafael Leão has been called-up by Portugal. Charles De Ketelaere, despite not performing well for Milan since arriving in the summer, has made the cut for Belgium with Divock Origi and the injured Alexis Saelemaekers left out.
